What’s coming up in MEMBA-land
You may have noticed that the blog here has been pretty silent…that’s because we’re out riding, digging, and, well, mostly clearing trees as of late! But there is a lot going on in the coming days, so let’s get it all out there!
Let’s ride the dunes!
Remember all the hype about great fat biking at Silver Lake Dunes earlier in the winter? If so, you’ll probably also remember the DNR very politely informing everyone that it is definitely not (currently) allowed.
Global Fat Bike Day 2020
Global Fat Bike Day is this Saturday, December 5th and while we won’t be hosting any events this year, don’t let that stop you from getting out on the fatty! Please be mindful of the freeze-thaw cycle and either get out while the temps are below freezing, do wheelies on the beach, and/or stick to Riley and the Faz Track at Mosquito Creek. Be safe, stay healthy, and tag us in your posts on Facebook or Instagram: let’s see that chunky rubber!
October 3rd, 2020
We are all about getting children out in the woods to enjoy awesome trails! This October 3rd join us at your nearest trail with your children, your friends kids, or your neighbors youngsters out on a bike in the woods.
2020 Velo City Frigid Fondo
Heads up fat bike riders! MEMBA will be hosting a double-header event to celebrate this year’s Global Fat Bike Day on December 7th, 2019.
More details to follow, but here are the basics…
We’ll be starting with a ride at Riley Trails and then heading to the Riley Street beach for a shoreline ride down to the Holland State Park pier.
Muskegon Sports Complex will be hosting a Bike The Lights event that evening at their facility. This is a can’t miss experience!
So mark December 7th, 2019 on the calendar and come enjoy fat biking with us!
Date and time: May 11, 2019 at 10am
Put it on the calendar! Demo bikes, food trucks and more. Bring the family, friends and your neighbors! Expect a program that includes donor recognition, ribbon cutting, and a project update.
